Welcome to the evangelism podcast. I’m Daniel King, and I’m excited about telling people about Jesus. And today I have a special guest wholly Ken Amati. He is from the nation of Uganda from the city of Kampala, and he is a music superstar for Jesus. He is a powerful anointed worship leader and has come here to the nation of Malawi to help with the love Malawi festival performing every single night and ministering to the people through his music. Thank you so much for being on the program with me. I just

Glory to God, because this is a big opportunity for me to be here. And also you interviewing me. Yeah. I give a glory to God.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (01:38):
So tell me about how you became a believer.

Holy Keane Ammoti (01:42):
Well after the loss of all, my parents were like, I’m a result of rape. That’s what they say, rape or defilement. After I had lost my mom due to HIV aids, I lost my dad, HIV aids, and my grand mom also died, passed away due to HIV aids. That’s what they say after something like two months, I, we stay, we started staying with our auntie. She also passed away due to HIV aids. Life was really difficult. I have siblings who are HIV positive, and two of them are positive and were rejected so many times. And very many times where I’m in beta, I was beat. I was rejected. Yes, disappointed. So as I was moving around in Kampala city, I saw a crusade. People were dancing jubilating I was like, okay, I need to join them and see what, what exactly is going on. But when reaching dye was captivated by the miracles, I saw the man of God go to go onto the pulpit and began praying for the sick. I saw the sick get healed to the lame walk. And I was like, oh my God, I need to give my life to Jesus. This, I need that peace. I need that joy within me to be replaced. So I gave my life to Jesus. But before, even that I had, I tried committing suicide lake thrice,

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (03:06):
Three times, you tried to commit suicide.

Holy Keane Ammoti (03:08):
I tried taking the poison rat, rat, poison things didn’t work out. I went and crushed. But batteries, batteries, I don’t know. Yeah. So I crushed them, took them. Cause I was so much, I really wanted to die because I have siblings who are HIV positive and there are two of them. And I don’t know, I didn’t know my status by that time. I thought maybe I could have good and also HIV positive. I could have good the the sickness from balm for my parents, but things. Yeah. So Jesus has already has been like, he has been that man who has really put me up here and he has blessed.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (03:53):
And now you are in Kampala, Uganda, and you are working with the street boys in Kampala. Tell me about the ministry that you do with the street boys

Holy Keane Ammoti (04:05):
For the street kids. We we, we, we sorry. We, we give them food. We feed them, we preach to them. The gospel, we do haircuts. We teach them skills. Like I have a bakery at home that I normally get some two or three people and put them, put them into the baker and land. But the bad thing with them, they are, they’ve noted good in the skill. And, but they are thieves thieves. So sometimes you have to be very keen with which people you take at your place. But with that, we managed like to put them up there build them, teach them, and then others, we, we resettle them with their parents, take them out from the streets and take them back to their parents.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (04:52):
So tell me about your music. How do you use your music to reach people for Jesus?

Holy Keane Ammoti (04:59):
The youth, the youth love dance hall, music. They love dancing. So I use that. I use the beats beats that are really hard. Like they, the ones that really stupid, like captivate the youth. So I use the, I use that and put the, and put good is what on to, onto the, the music that the beats. So you find that people are so in tangled people, I mean, people are so much air into it and you find that people love Christ, people know Christ because of that. Yeah.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (05:36):
And so you are here with the love Malawi festival with a global network of evangelists. And we have been seeing God do tremendous things here in this city. And then in Lucienzo tell us some of, of what you think about what is happening here. Ah, this,

Holy Keane Ammoti (05:56):
This, this, this has been an amazing movement. First of all these small towns are taken by poor people, witchcraft and stuff like that. So we have brought Christ and I am seeing that in the next two years, three years this is going to be a big CIB, be a big thing because now Christians, we’re all we have over something like [inaudible] have given their lives to Jesus. So we give the glory to God and the pastors have also been taught how to reach out to other people. That is a very big thing. So I’m seeing in the next five years from now [inaudible] [inaudible] is not going to be the same again. And then the music that we’ve been like giving out to people, you’ll find that the youth have adopted to the youth, to, to the new music

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (06:50):
And the trend. You will find that maligns and the chains are going to be up, up, up, up. And, you know, once you bring, once you bring the ghost point to a place poverty the gospel, eradicates poverty, cause the mindset, the mindset changes of the people, the mindset changes completely. And you find that someone who has spending money into witchcraft is no longer going to put it into each car, but always going to church and doing the right things. So the perception, the mindset is being renewed and the word keeps cleansing each and every one, you know, sometimes we sow seeds and we don’t know what we’re doing, but wherever you put a seed of good it germinates. That’s what I know. That’s what I believe it. Yeah. Amen. Well, thank you so much for being on the evangelism podcast. Can we finish with you sharing one of your songs with us?
