THIS ROAD
We took this road before
And it didn't take us anywhere
Why are we taking it again?
Is it that
We don't know
We took it before?
Or is it that
We have forgotten so soon
That the road we took
Took us to nowhere?
We were fogged
We were logged
We were like some stock
We were stuck
The many that
Passed that road
Is a reminder
Of the few
That are yet in stock
But to pass this road again
Is to let madness reign
And woe betide us
If we've got hatred beside us.
July poems
I thought I have a friend
But it seems is a fiend.
Why does he come smiling?
But his acts are biting?
In this world we have a lot of trouble,
And every day it comes in double.
The worst enemies are those that are close,
And their acts come with a clause.
Life is a journey,
And each step has a story.
In every history,
There lies a story.
Never judge a man's life,
Untill you hear his life's strife.
In every stride,
We need no pride.
I was on a mission,
Engrafted with passion.
We meet at the cross road,
And our hearts clicked with no load.
He was smilling,
As I was dancing.
People were watching,
As we were modelling.
The flow was sweet,
Sounding more like a tweet.
Together we walked as a team,
And the flow sounded like a stream.
I thought I have a friend
But it seems is a fiend.
Why does he come smiling?
But his acts are biting?
In this world we have a lot of trouble,
And every day it comes in double.
The worst enemies are those that are close,
And their acts come with a clause.

And each step has a story.
In every history,

Never judge a man's life,
Untill you hear his life's strife.
In every stride,
We need no pride.
Words are seeds,
Just as you are your deeds.

Words frame your world,
It stands like a wall.

You possess what you talk,
For your talk predicts your walk.

In your declaration
lies your destination,
So let your destination be guided by your proclamation.

Be positive in talk,
Be gentle at walk.

Words are to be tested,
So words should not be waisted.

Speak words that build,
Do not throw it to the field.

Careless words is a poison,
And most times have no reason.

Live up to your words,
So it can inspire the Wards.

Be swift to hear,
It's a sign you're ere.

Be slow to speak,
So we can learn of your streak.
You came on a mission
And stood for the vision.
You served with passion
And never let go the commission.
Your message was clear
It has no flair.
You believed in righteousness
And lived in holiness.
You were sincere to the core
So firm like a sycomore.
You left so suddenly
Yet so peacefully.
Your love shall be missed
As you left us unpissed.
Your memory will linger
Even as your good works we remember.

My Best Man

Poem

You came on a mission
And stood for the vision.
You served with passion
And never let go the commission.
Your message was clear
It has no flair.
You believed in righteousness
And lived in holiness.
You were sincere to the core
So firm like a sycomore.
You left so suddenly
Yet so peacefully.
Your love shall be missed
As you left us unpissed.
Your memory will linger
Even as your good works we remember.

It is a matter of time
For us to meet in time.
Your teachings stick through
It has ensured us breakthrough.
Your leadership was impacting
And lives are changed identifying.
The church you worked for is strong
For the saints really belong.
You planted light in your wife
She rightly divides the word like a knife.
Her words pierce our hearts
Making us abide in the right paths.
Rest well man of peace
Even as we keep to the bond of peace.

African people

Poem Prose

African people,
How do you do?
African children,
I salute you.
We are sheltered to live together,
Not to kill and eat one another.
We are from one father and mother,
So that means we are brothers and sisters.

In your lone give peace a chance,
In your ways give peace a chance.
Whatever you do allow peace to reign,
Wherever you are allow peace to reign.
Whatever you say allow peace to reign,
Whoever you are allow peace to reign.

African leaders,
How do you do?
African chiefs I salute you.
Loosen the chains that are binding your hand,
This is the time for us to farm the land.
Settle the grudges that are causing distraction,
For this is the time for solid construction.

In your lone give peace a chance,
On your ways give peace a chance.
Whatever you do allow peace to reign,
Wherever you are allow peace to reign.
Whatever you say allow peace to reign.
Whoever you are allow peace to reign.

Hello Papa how do you do?
Hello Mama I salute you.
Teach your children from greed and hate.
For they will be every where to show gain,
If they are bad then you will be blamed,
If they are good glory will be to your name.

In your lone give peace a chance,
On your ways give peace a chance.
Whatever you teach allow peace to reign,
Whatever you learn allow peace to reign.
Whatever we sing allow peace to reign,
However you are dance allow peace to reign.
