Subscribe to the Evangelism Podcast today!
On this podcast we feature interviews with full-time evangelists, pastors, missionaries, and normal everyday Christians to discover how they share their faith. Their powerful testimonies and amazing stories will inspire you to reach people with Good News. You will cry, you will laugh, and you will be motivated to, “Go into all the World!”
When you listen you might hear an argument with an atheist about apologetics, or a discussion with a missionary about how to minister cross-culturally, or with a pastor whose church is exploding because he is effectively training his congregation to share their faith. Or you might hear the testimony of a sinner who recently got saved or the story of a shy believer who led her best friend to Jesus. Also, we will talk about the challenges that face the modern day evangelist like post-modern thinking here in America, and syncretism in the dusty villages of Africa. We will talk about friendship evangelism, prophetic evangelism, and power evangelism.
Proverbs 11:30 reads, “Those who win souls are wise!” That’s why Evangelist Daniel King always says, “My Goal? Every Soul!” Not only is he motivated to lead people to Jesus, he also loves training others to be great evangelists.

Evangelism is important to God. He does not want to see a single person perish. God desires all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). God does not want a single person to be lost to the flames of hell. As Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke often said, “We must plunder hell to populate heaven.”
The office of the evangelist is an important part of the body of Christ. There is a need for more evangelists in the world today. People are ready to give their lives to Jesus if someone will just go share the Gospel with them. The word “evangelist” appears three times in the New Testament. Philip is called an evangelist (Acts 21:8); Paul mentions evangelists in his list of ministry offices, along with apostles, prophets, pastors, and teachers (Ephesians 4:11); and Paul tells Timothy to do the “work of an evangelist” (2 Timothy 4:5).
The calling of an evangelist is twofold. First, the evangelist is called to lead people to Jesus. The evangelist preaches the Gospel, prays for the sick, casts out demons, and tells lost people how to go to heaven (Matthew 10:8). The evangelist is equally needed doing mass-evangelism (Acts 8:5-8) and one-on-one evangelism (Acts 8:26-39).
Second, the evangelist is called to equip other believers for evangelism (Ephesians 4:12). He teaches the church to do the work of the evangelist (2 Timothy 4:5), he trains churchgoers how to be soul-winners, and he motivates believers to go outside the four walls of the church building and to lead lost people to Jesus. Ultimately, every believer is called to do the “work of the evangelist” (2 Timothy 4:5) in order to help fulfill the Great Commission.
This podcast will discuss two aspects of the evangelist. There is an office of the evangelist and there is the work of the evangelist. The office of the evangelist is a special calling, the work of the evangelist is for every believer. The evangelist is called to full-time ministry, but the work of the evangelist can be done by pastors, businessmen, mothers, teenagers, and little children in the midst of their everyday lives. Only a handful are called to be evangelists, but every believer is called to evangelism. The work of the evangelist is soul winning!
Evangelists…
Evangelists lead the lost to Christ.
Evangelists equip the saints for evangelism.
Evangelists reach out to both individuals and multitudes.
Evangelists preach the simple Gospel, not the latest, greatest, brand-new flavor of the week.
Evangelists witness signs and wonders following the preaching of the word.
Evangelists are often the first to go into uncharted territory and preach the Gospel where Christ is not known.
Evangelists are…
Evangelists are God’s spokespeople.
Evangelists are God’s salespeople.
Evangelists are a shining light in the midst of a dark world.
Evangelists are spiritual obstetricians who give birth to new believers.
Evangelists are the advertising agency for God’s kingdom.
Evangelists are the elite Navy Seals who are the first to head into enemy territory.
Evangelists are shock troops on the frontlines of the battle for lost souls.
Evangelists are forerunners who are the first to arrive in a new harvest field.
Evangelists are farmers who plow ground, sow spiritual seed, and reap a harvest of souls.
There are as many different methods of evangelism as there are people. None of the methods are wrong as long as they are used to lead people to Jesus. On The Evangelism Podcast we will explore the many different ways of reaching out to the lost.
